This weekend I visited Azteca on the King’s Road with a couple of friends, a bar that I’d walked past many a time but never actually ventured in to.
We all enjoyed variations of mojitos, which were all brilliantly made. If you’re looking for a decent mojito in south west London, this could just be the place. I tasted the vanilla mojito and it was absolutely delicious, not too sickly with the vanilla on top of this already sweet cocktail. The strawberry mojito was also perfectly balanced and refreshing.
There wasn’t masses of seating area, but enough to keep the crowd happy and with choices from cosy sofas, to intimate tables or high seats and barrel shaped tables, it gave the bar a fun and relaxed feeling.
Cocktails are priced as you would expect for the area around £7-9 and there is of course Corona in keeping with the Hispanic feel of the place.
Worth a visit for a top cocktail and a chat with some friends. I hear it also does pretty good Mexican food, so watch this space…
