Over the past year or so, Bill’s restaurants seem to have been springing up all over the place, and with a trendy atmosphere and good food it’s not hard to understand why they have become increasingly popular.
I’ve now visited the Covent Garden and Soho branch, but with 16 locations in London alone to choose from, they’re not exactly hard to find. The restaurants are decked out with produce, available to be brought, along the shelves and this decor gives it an air of authenticity. The restaurants are always buzzing with people, whether on work lunches or leisurely Sunday brunches.
The marinated chicken skewers are delicious and the portion sizes are spot on. I’ve also sampled the halloumi and hummus burger, which comes with ‘skinny’ fries. This is a brilliant veggie alternative and the halloumi was cooked to perfection.
Bill’s has a great drinks selection and mains range from seafood to warming pub classics. Priced roughly from £9 a main, it’s not too unreasonable either, especially for the quality of the food.
They also do afternoon tea variations, which I am yet to try, but very intrigued to do so!
Head on down if you’re looking for a nice place to catch up with mates at the weekend.
